Carolina Lombardi was invited to CIMEC, the Interdepartmental Centre for Mind and Brain at the University of Trento, by Professor Giorgio Vallortigara to initiate an interdisciplinary exchange between artistic research and neuroscience.

During her stay, the artist visited laboratories dedicated to the study of the mind and animal cognition, engaging with the scientific practices and theoretical models that investigate the biological foundations of the mind and forms of non-human cognition.

On that occasion, she presented her work to the scientific community, fostering an open dialogue between artistic languages and scientific research, in which art takes shape as a space for observation, translation, and resonance across fields of knowledge.
